Our state legislature will soon be voting on a bill to define Anti-Semitism. This is important because different groups try to hide their anti-Semitism behind what they call first amendment protected speech in the form of legitimate criticism of the State of Israel. We as a community reject this line of reasoning as time and again the same people who seek to isolate Israel for imaginary crimes at the same time ignore the same actions of numerous other countries in the world. The double standard that Israel is held to can be explained as nothing other than anti-Semitism dressed up in new clothing. This definition that we are advocating allows for the State of Georgia to view anti-Semitism as anti-Semitism. We encourage you to click here and use the American Jewish Committee's portal to let our state leaders know where you stand.
