Shabbat Dinner March 2023

The evening will begin with Erev Shabbat Services at 6:00 pm, followed by dinner at 7:00 pm. We'll be joined by special guests Daniel & Zan Alhadeff. Daniel grew up at OVS and we're pleased to welcome him back.

$25 per adult for 3-course chicken dinner.
$10 per child for chicken fingers and fries.

Vegetarian meal available on request.

Guest Bios:

Daniel Alhadeff is a historic preservation architect currently living in Riverdale, Bronx, New York, with his wife. He is originally from Atlanta, GA, and attended Congregation Or VeShalom, where his Turkish and Rhodesli ancestors were among its founding members. Daniel is an experienced lay leader and has also contributed artwork to the Or veShalom Masorti siddur.

Alexandra "Zan" Alhadeff is currently a student at the Beit Midrash Program at Yeshivat Maharat and is anticipating to begin her studies for rabbinic ordination in Fall 2023. Zan has also learned Torah at Yeshivat Hadar, the Drisha Summer Kollel and the Beit Midrash Program (2019, 2022). An emerging Jewish educator, Zan teaches Hebrew school and is the Assistant Director of the Dr. Beth Samuels Summer High School Program at the Drisha Institute for Jewish Studies. Before she began full-time learning, Zan had a successful career as a transportation planning consultant in Seattle, WA and Silver Spring, MD.

Dinner is priced per person and includes a 3-course meal.
Children's meal is chicken fingers with french fries.
