This Friday, we will be holding a congregational dinner honoring Rabbi Kassorla; please come celebrate Hanukkah and Shabbat with your family, friends, and your community.

I know that some of our members have children and other family members who are home for the holidays - why not give yourself a break, bring the family to OVS, and let us take care of the cooking!? So many of our members have expressed how much they look forward to bringing children and grandchildren to
Or VeShalom for special events; I hope that Friday night will be one of those times when whole families come out to celebrate with us. I myself am returning from a short vacation, and am looking forward to reconnecting with the community family over dinner.

Our resident Chef, Margot Alfie, is preparing an eclectic menu, including many of the Rabbi’s favorite dishes. Margot has outdone herself preparing a variety of ethnic dinners over the past year, and I hope you will join me in thanking her for all of her efforts.

After an OVS Congregational Dinner, you’ll walk away satiated from a wonderful meal, energized from a meaningful experience with family and friends, and perhaps enlightened by new perspectives and insights. Everyone is invited; please remember to RSVP at the office so we have an accurate count for the evening.
