Michael Bouhadana

This Sunday marks the 51st Sisterhood Donor Luncheon. This event allows us to look back on all that the Sisterhood has done to invigorate and support our congregation over the past year - while looking forward to future Sisterhood contributions.

The OVS Sisterhood raises funds for our synagogue throughout the year, through a variety of fundraising events. This coming year, the Sisterhood is planning to put those funds toward improvements to the OVS library.

We are so appreciative of the Sisterhood’s efforts to keep our synagogue looking its best, while hosting the Bazaar, the Donor Luncheon, and many other events enjoyed by Sisterhood members and the community alike. As has been highlighted in multiple publications, the Sisterhood also keeps one of OVS’ most cherished traditions alive, in teaching future generations the art of bureka-baking. Please join me in showing the Sisterhood our heartfelt gratitude for all of their efforts.

In other community news, we are hosting our monthly congregational dinner next Friday, March 1st, in coordination with Shabbat Across America. Please come spend Shabbat with your OVS family, as we enjoy a beautiful meal and great conversation. We encourage you to bring family, friends, and neighbors; the event is free for members, $10 for associate members, and $20 for non-members. Please RSVP by February 25 if you would like to attend.

Shabbat Shalom,

Michael
