Michael Bouhadana

Each individual has within them the power to make an impact
on the lives of others.

We tend to notice this impact when we lose someone who brought light into our world, and into our community in particular. Unfortunately, at OVS, we have recently lost multiple longtime members who gave so much of themselves to help family, friends, and the community at large. While we will miss these individuals tremendously, I hope that their kind and giving spirits inspire us all to give more of ourselves, and do our best to make an impact in our community.

I regularly request that OVS members reach out to me if they are interested in volunteering, and so I am asking again to please consider how you can help. Making a difference in our community doesn't need to take a lot of time or effort - for example, serving as a greeter on Shabbat is a minimal commitment, but brings immeasurable warmth to our community. There are so many other examples we could list; please reach out to me to learn (or suggest) ways that you can help.

May we all be the "Or" in Or VeShalom.

Shabbat Shalom,

Michael
