A message from OVS President Michael Bouhadana

Michael Bouhadana

As a child, I complained every time my father, of blessed memory, brought me to the synagogue. I would rather sleep late and spend my Saturday mornings
outside with friends.
Happy Father’s Day! Please bring your dad to Congregation Or Veshalom; ask him to join you and our community this Shabbat for a Father’s Day Shabbat - Friday night and Saturday morning. He’s guaranteed to know you’re honoring him on this special day; and yes, he might complain to you a little, but think of it as payback for all those years he encouraged you to spend your childhood
 Saturday mornings at services.
Also, please remember to call the office and ask the staff to include your father’s name in our special Father’s Day Shabbat bulletin.
I’m very proud of my father and how he influenced me to become who I am today. If he was still with me, I would apologize for all my passive aggressive behaviors on Saturday mornings - I just ‘didn’t know what I didn’t know’.
