Michael Bouhadana

During Shabbat services last week, Rabbi Kassorla taught us that ‘honoring our parents’ is one of three mitzvahs, the Talmud argues, which can extend our lives. This weekend is Mother’s Day; and for those of you in the congregation blessed to have your mom in the Atlanta area, bring your mom and your entire family to OVS for our Mother’s Day Shabbat. What a wonderful way to honor your parents! If you haven’t had an Aliyah this year, ask Rabbi Kassorla for an Aliyah to honor your mom, your family, your friends, and the entire community.

… and if you are a mom reading this message, remind your children! For Mother’s Day, tell your children you want them to accompany you to Congregation Or VeShalom for our Mother’s Day Shabbat. Shabbat Kiddush to follow.

Please continue providing me with feedback
on your synagogue experience at this link .

Shabbat Shalom and Happy Mother’s Day,

Michael
