The Israel Bond nominating committee discussed nominating a number of well-deserving OVS members for this honor. As is the tradition at OVS, the names of the 2010 OVS Israel Bonds honorees will be announced to the Congregation during the presidential speech on Yom Kippur.

The theme of this years brunch was:

Cook Like an Egyptian and Other Great Mediterranean Dishes.

Attendees were treated to a demonstration and sampling of Egyptian culinary masterpieces by a number of Sisterhood members. A sampling of all foods also was made. The photos below are from the 2010 Sisterhood Opening Brunch.

Condolences To:

The family of Morris Galanti (z”l) on his passing on Sunday, August 22, 2010. He was the husband of Rachel Benshushan Galanti, and father of Lisa Galanti Rabinowitz & Hal Rabinowitz, Ronnie & Nancy Galanti, and Irwin & Charlene Galanti. He is also survived by his siblings Sam & Ann Galanti and Isaac & Ila Galanti.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m, Rabbi Hayyim Kassorla, officiating.
